I have intended to write a blog of the trials I photograph since I started this site, but there always seems something more pressing. I hope to include a GPS track of the trial to give readers from outside the area a better idea if where the trials run. Most of the trials held in northern Cumbria are held in fantastic locations, long may it continue.
I intend to post more photos to give a flavour of the surroundings and atmosphere at a motorcycle trial. I hope to include portraits of the riders and observers at each event.
I will try to include a brief outline of the trial and post the results. I hope to be able to include photos of new bike as they appear and also the many twin shock, pre 65 and and bikes from the past.
Photographs taken at the 2013 Mintex trial, 2013 are now on the site. It was difficult to shoot more photos especially of the sections owing to me having to be at the fuel stops for Victor. Another great trial organised by the Richmond Motor Club. Thanks to all the organisers and especially the marshals, Mountain Rescue and those at the fuel stops.
Cheers Wayne for the large zip ties, a life saver great idea for keeping the tyre on the rim after a flat.
Happy birthday Eric Kitchen. I don't know any 80year olds who spend their birthday up to their knees in a cold Cumbrian beck. He was looking for his Nikon 85 1.4 lens though, hope its dried out and is working, otherwise its a very expensive day out.
Thanks to the Bassenthwaite club for organising the trial, fantastic location.
Photo's from last Sunday's round 1 of the Normandale traditional trials series. I will be uploading photo's overnight on Monday 12th March. A brilliant trial in a fabulous venue. Pity the weather didn't clear out on the higher section's.
